The "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" is an ongoing program started by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.
Established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) aims to ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country. The KVPY scholarship encourages Science students to take up research in the field of Science as a career. As for eligibility applicable for the KVPY scholarship, students enrolled in Class XI, XII of Science stream and 1st-year undergraduate program of Basic Sciences can apply for this scholarship. The interested candidates can go to the official website to apply for KVPY scholarship. All they have to do is to fill the application form and submit it with INR 1000 (for general/ OBC) and INR 500 (for SC/ ST/ PWD) as application fee.
