Following is the link of provisional list of candidates in the order of merit, recommended for the award of KVPY Fellowship – 2011 in the streams SA, SB, SX and SP(Basic Sciences). The merit list is based on 75% weightage for Aptitude Test marks and 25% weightage for the interview marks in the streams SA, SB, SX and those who scored 66.00% of marks and above in the stream SA, 59.00% of marks and above in the stream SX and 58.00% of marks and above in the stream SB are recommended for the award. In respect of Stream SP(Basic Sciences), the order of merit is on the basis of marks awarded in the interview.

as the cutoff for selection was 66% for SA,and division of marks was 75% for aptitude test and 25% for interview.so if we calculate...even if a student gets th full 25% in interview he would have to have got 54.6 out of 100 in the aptitude test to get selected for the fellowship but the cutoff for selection in interview was 50 marks out of 100.so this is unfair in a way as students getting 50-54.5 marks in the aptitude test were selected for interview but had no chance of qualifying for the fellowship.

and i want to know that the rank given in final result has any significance or not as everyone has been given a rank
