RESOLUTION REGARDING RMO 2011 PASSED AT THE MEETING HELD AT HBCSE ON 8 DECEMBER, 2011 AT 3 P.M.
It has come to our notice that some of the problems from the RMO test had been unauthorizedly posted on a website. A complaint in this regard is being lodged with the appropriate authorities. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to genuine students on account of the unfortunate leakage despite the best efforts on our part to prevent such an occurrence. On account of the fact that the leakage may affect the score profile the following procedure will be adopted for the selection of students to appear for INMO from RMO 2011. In those regions where the number of students scoring 40 or above marks exceeds 30, an RMO2 examination may be conducted for the students scoring 40 or above marks, to arrive at a shortlist of about 30 students to appear for the INMO from the region. The regional coordinators of such regions, where a second examination (RMO2) needs to be conducted, may conduct this examination at the centre of the region (and not at more than one place). Additional funds for conducting RMO2 (if required) may be made available by the NBHM.
