The Most Non-Transparent Exam KVPY

KVPY is one of the most non transparent exams conducted by Govt. of India. The way this exam is conducted raises the questions (written as well as interview) about the credibility of this exam. Last year I came to know that KVPY declared the list thrice of short listed candidates for the interview after the protests from the parents. My accusation is based on following points:

1) Papers are not given to students (last year was the first time IISC put it on the website).
2) Marks and ranks of the selected or non selected students are not given / shared.
3) Cut off for both the streams are not given.
4) Weight age of the written as well as interview is not shared with the students which leave lot of scope for manipulation and favouritism.
5) Interview marks and interview response sheets are not shared with the candidates.

We need to make collective effort to make IISC accountable to such a reputed exam. We shall put RTIs and pressurize IISC to be more open and transparent about this. IISC has got a leeway in interview where they play around with selections. An appeal to Mr. Kapil Sibal should do the work. I am putting up the email id of honrable minister Mr. Kapil Sibal.
